Joseph Pathikulangara is an engineer with the CSIRO, an Australian Government research organisation, from 1995 onwards. Before this, he was an engineer with DRDO, India for about 11 years.

At CSIRO, he has built Signal Processors and Software Defined Radios of various forms and shapes for several projects and application spaces. At present he is at the Space & Astronomy business unit focusing on Radio Astronomy Instrumentation.

He has a BE in Electronics and Communications from the IISc, Bangalore and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT-Bombay.
