Kirty received an M.S. degree from Rutgers University in 2014, and a Ph.D. degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2020, both in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is currently working in the Wireless R&D Division at Qualcomm, San Diego, CA, USA. Previously, Kirty worked as an R&D intern at Philips, Witricity, and Mathworks. His research interests are in signal processing, wireless communication systems, and machine learning.​​
